Since 1937
From a corner bar to a Detroit classic.
Shield's has been part of Metro Detroit's history since 1937. Our story began when Shield's Bar opened at the corner of Davison and Shields Street in Detroit.

Shield's later began serving award-winning pizzas, ribs and salads and featured the ever-popular square, deep-dish pizza. Shield's quickly became a landmark and a favorite gathering spot for families, politicians, athletes and public figures alike — and established a tradition of offering high quality foods at reasonable prices.
Today you'll find us throughout Metro Detroit in Troy, Southfield and Detroit.

What guests have said
“Had not been here in a few years, and the pizza has gotten amazing! I'd dare to say, better than Buddy's… The waiter was absolutely excellent. Do yourself a favor and stop in.”
“When thirteen hungry people (six under six years old) enter any restaurant without a reservation there might be cause for concern. The Shields staff handled the issue with speed and grace. Shields has been a favorite with my wife and I since their only location was on Shields in Detroit.”
“This was my family's first time coming here since the remodel and we had a great experience! The food was great and so was our waiter! The manager stopped by to make sure everything was good and on our way out four staff members thanked us for coming. We will be back soon!”
